Wonder when they will come up with a dvd player that works inside your lid!...could have the picture on your visor as a heads up display!.........or one that attaches to the rear of your lid for your passenger to watch!

I wonder how hard it would be to get it DOT approved.

I think the problem would be the mandatory safety video that you would have to show the passenger as you were pushing back out of the garage ...

this all reminds me of the weird al lyric "I put a satellite dish on the trunk of my car so I can watch mtv while I drive."

and to think, it's pretty much the case nowadays.

My phone is only carried with me because it's handy incase of a brakedown, or (knock on wood) a crash. But, it's carried under my passengerseat and that's where it belongs.

I carry mine in the inside pocket of my jacket. That way, if I get separated from my bike during an accident, my phone is with me. If I have to crawl back to my bike to make an emergency call, that could be painful...

I do not carry it in my jacket, quite frankly I only have my visacard in my jacket because it is flat. A cellphone an other similar objects is not what I intend landing on if I may crash.
Ever thought of that ?

If I crash landing on my cell phone will be the least of my worries

Sure, but it's in the chest pocket, and if I land flat on my chest, I've got more problems than just my phone...

And, my new phone (Sony Ericsson W890i) is only about 8mm thick anyway, so it's not like it's in the way.
