And it got me thinking... I can't wait for my CHL to come in. About two weeks ago a guy was VERY close to my rear while riding on TX-199. There was a lot of traffic, it was rush hour mind you so we couldn't go the posted speed limit of 45 mph but we were going about 35. I threw up my left hand as if I'm saying "We do you want me to go? Why so close?" We were in the left lane and after that he sped off to the right lane and into a parking lot. I gave chase. He was trying to beat traffic by going through the parking lot but he got trapped at a red light. I pulled up to his left ride and said to him "What the f**k do you think you're doing?". He said "he wasn't trying to kill me, he was just in a rush". OK, does your being in a rush make it OK for you to risk my life? What if someone was traveling too close to him and rear-ended him and he hit me? I'd be a grease spot, even at 35 mph.

I can just about guess what happened here and there's a lot the media isn't mentioning. The lady did some stupid manuvuer, biker got PO'd and wanted to tell her, in not such a nice tone I'm sure, how stupid she is. I'm sure he didn't have violent tendencies. She got scared and shot his a$$. Why? She could have gotten away once she hit him with the door. Is every 'biker' a target now because we get annoyed at ignorant drivers who risk OUR lives when they get behind the wheel while they eat their donuts, drink their coffee, read their newspaper, and talk on the phone having a conference call with seventeen associates/clients around the country while there's five screaming kids in the back of their three ton SUV? I'm sorry, if I see an idiot like that, I'm going to make damn well sure I'm getting the heck outta there ASAP. But I understand when someone gets mad and wants to point it out to them. I've done it myself numberous times. If this lady isn't tried and convicted it's going to open season on all of us that ride.

That being said, I can't wait for my CHL to come in. According to Tx DPS, I probably have to wait until September. Hopefully I'll survive the summer.
