Default Dyna beads...

Has anyone here used dyna beads from innovative balancing? I ordered some for when I change my tires next month but I am curious if anyone has any experience with them. The local stealership wanted $500 to do a tune-up and mount and balance my new tires so I told them to get bent, they said they were going to use the beads any way so I figure they can't be that bad.

I have read about them quite a bit. A member on another forum, intruder/c90-oilcandan is a dealer for the dyna beads. I have read good things about them but I just cannot see spending $40 for them. Stick on weights are far cheaper, if needed at all.

My tires are small so the kit I bought ran $16.64 with shipping. I'm also somewhat lazy and anxious to get the bike road ready as quickly as possible so I didn't want to mess around with balancing the tires the traditional way. I think I'll be spending enough time adjusting the valves and balancing/tuning the carbs.

Who's Dyna? And why would I want to mess with her balls?

I balance (and mount) mine myself. To balance, I grease the axle, thread it through the wheel and put the whole shebang between two level jackstands. I then lightly spin the wheel and wait for it to stop on the heavy spot. I add a little weight oppposite the heavy spot (after verifying that it is truly the heavy spot by marking it and re-spinning) and repeat.

I got the weights at NAPA, and they weren't cheap!

I place my tire on a giant scale. I balance it with a duck. I figure if it weighs the same as a duck, then it is made of wood and inherently floats, therefore ..... yeah.
