Question Glove trouble?

I am still new to riding, and when I bought the bike, I also got a jacket, gloves, chaps and helmet.
Well, the thing is that I notice that when I wear the gloves, my hand ache a lot, and feel very tired, which doesn't happen if I ride without them. They are normal leather gloves with no reinforcements. They are not heavy or anything. Any ideas why?

Does your glove fit?

Are you gripping the bar tighter when you're wearing the glove?

Is there a "pinch" point on the wrist that's cutting off circulation?

These are the kinds of things only you can answer

My diagnosis is that you are subconsciously worried that the gloves will lessen your finger/hand sensitivity and are unknowingly compensating by gripping the hand grips a little tighter thereby causing early hand fatigue (aka white knuckling it!). I find that I am more comfortable with good fitting gloves rather than riding bare-handed because the extra grip relaxes me, ensuring that my grip is good.

I think you're on target with your answer.

You know, I typed that wearing my white lab coat while doing the required left index finger to the chin placement to accentuate a deep thinking posture.

Then again it could be that they are just a tad too small.
I have a pair that feel fine "walking around" but a few minutes of wrapping them around the grips and things start to go numb; the thumb goes first.

I think they are a bit too big for my hand, I guess I should have bought smaller ones. Think that is the problem?

It could be, your hand is sliding inside the glove so you're gripping tighter, making your hands sore/cramp up

I went back and read my first post on this thread and it scared the heck out of me. It sounded like something Clint would write.

I am thinking along the lines mentioned above. Griping too tight or the gloves may be a bit small.

I have a pair I rarely wear because for some reason it has a pressure point that hurts a bit after a while. They are starting to break in a bit though.

I believe so...the extra material bunching up in your palm is doing this. I've had the same thing happen. You need to make sure you find the right gloves.

Didn't I?

I agree, btw. When I first started wearing gloves, I had soreness. I was subconsciously trying to get my hand to the same diameter that it had been. I had to learn to grip the new shape.

Aha! I know I heard that Fokker coming. Your Fokker Dr.I triplane, of course. It has a more distinct sound as compared to a Sopwith Camel or S.E.5.
