Default Are 2003 same as the 2004's and 2005's of the SV650S

I found the service manual online. Are all these years the same? I know the 2004's and 2005's are the same at least.

No, the bikes are not the same. I believe that the 2004 is the first year that the SV650 is fuel injected and liquid cooled. So right there you've got some big differences. Also, just in regards to the design of the bike, I believe the 2003 were quite a bit taller than the 2004.

How come I didn't see this before???

Gina, hate to prove you wrong but the 2003 was the first year of FI.

2003 New features
  • New generation SV650S with all-new frame, electronic fuel injection and an exciting new look.
Electronic fuel injection system featuring the Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve System (SDTV)- maintains optimum air velocity in the intake tract for smooth low-to-mid rpm throttle response and high torque output. Includes Auto Fast Idle System (AFIS).
New 16-bit ECM provides precise control of ignition timing and injector operation for each cylinder.
Large throttle bodies fed by an 8.5 liter airbox with a flat-panel air filter for easy maintenance.
Pulsed-air injection system (PAIR) reduces emissions.
Sleek half fairing features dual 60/55W headlights with running lights and folding mirrors.
Compact instrument cluster includes analog tach, LCD speedometer, odometer/tripmeters, and temperature gauge, plus LCD clock and low fuel warning light.
Steeply-angled tail section houses unique vertically-styled, high visibility LED taillight.
Narrow, lightweight aluminum truss-style frame is constructed using high-vacuum die-cast process for more consistent strength and fewer individual welded sections.
Large under-seat storage area, passenger grab-bar and tie-down hooks.
New-style 4.7 gallon fuel tank with low fuel warning light.

2004 New features
  • Subframe lowered 40mm for more comfortable passenger seating position
More compact rear fender for improved appearance

2005 New features
  • New black-painted frame, swingarm, and wheels for more sport appearance

All SV are liquid cooled but I think the 03s added on the oil radiator too.
