Default Must be hot today

While driving to see the AMA race today (100+ degrees weather), the wookster snapped this picture.

Homie probably figured that the spirits of the tattoo figures on his back and legs would save him from crash or road-rash.

I actually saw someone riding dressed like that today. I gave him credit--it was around 52 degrees out this morning when I saw him! I figure he thought the goosebumps would save him if he fell.

Last summer my son and I were riding and saw some Harley riders pass by. The woman was wearing a THONG....boots and a leather bikini top........................THAT'S IT.......

She was brown as my office desk!!! they were heading to the local watering hole in town......I should have hauled a$$ and watch her get off the bike!!!

Well, maybe those people have skin like elephant skin.
Or carbon fibre lines skin.
Or they NEVER fall, or NEVER have accidents.

Or...or.....or..........

Oh well.........idiots.

Yeah...that's cool.

Let me tell you something the guy in the picture probably doesn't know...road rash hurts real bad. And I do mean real bad.

Here's a frame of measurement...I have actually removed a .22 caliber bullet from my thigh with a pen knife...and it didn't come close to the pain you get from a slide on the road without the proper safety gear.

When younger, I used to ride that way all the time. I figured there was no sense in sweating my butt off and being uncomfortable. After all, I got on my bike to enjoy myself, not be a lesson to others on how to ride. If it gets hotter than whatsit like it was last summer, I'll probably do it again. If everyone wanted to be as safe as they constantly preach about motorcycles, then they'd be wearing helmets and full body armor while driving their cars. The only time I've been knocked unconscious in an accident is when I was t-boned at an intersection while driving my car and slammed my head on the side window. Gee, had I been wearing a helmet, it wouldn't have happened. My point is - as careful as anyone wishes to be, they can't be protected all their lives against everything. I prefer to live my life comfortably and let the chips fall where they may.
