I use three on the clutch, but that's because the end of the lever broke off and i can't fit all four on As for the brake it depends on the situation. Cruising the canyons I usually only use two for bleeding off a little speed, in traffic I have all four ready just in case of those "jerks".

I use two fingers on the brake because I'm usually downshifting at the same time so I blip the throttle with the other two fingers to match revs for the next gear while modulating the brake lever with the other two. The Brembos on the Falco will pop your eyeballs out of your skull without proper modulation! One thing I DO use from my old MSF class is that I always use the rear brake when stopping.

Generally I use four fingers for the clutch.

Do what's easiest and most natural. Riding the thing should be instictive or get back on a dirt bike for a while, and learn to run the machine.

The last thing you should be thinking about when a situation presents itself is what some guy told you one time. It's time to react.... or die.
