Default New visor

I have a HJC CL-SP helmet that I need to order a new visor for, Noticed that the various colored and smoked or mirrored versions are about the same parice. Are they worth it over just a plain clear visor, or are they more gimmick than performance?

I don't have an HJC but I love my Dark Smoke Visor on my Scorpion Helmet. I don't like wearing Sunglasses under my Visor.

I have the HJC-CL-15 helmet
After having a Dark smoke anti-fog visor I will never ever go back to clear. So much nicer on the bright sunny days, it fogs up alot less than a visor that isnt anti-fog and over all is much better. Some argue that its harder to see at night with dark tint, but I have had no problems with mine yet.
Im gonna tell ya to go for the tint

I have a HJC CL-SP Barbwire. I just bought a medium smoke visor. I paid $45 Canadian from the dealer.

I believe you can get three grades, light, medium and dark.
I liked the look of a full dark but avoided it, just incase I was going to be out in the night. I have read and heard that a real dark tint can really effect your sight at night. I have no personal proof of that. I still do not know how the med dark will be.

I felt I needed to find a happy medium so that is what I got. I like the tint I get, it cuts down on the sun effect and still looks cool.

I have attached a pic, I think it looks good.

Good luck

I have a HJC CL-SP Osiris with a clear and dark smoke-smoke works great on sunny days just don't get caught after dark with it or you'll be riding around with the visor open to see. I keep the xtra shield in my saddle bag inside a visor protector.

Thanks all, think i may go with the mirrored, and keep the clear as a spare for night riding.

Burnt - nice pic of the M50. How do you like it? I been considering one.

I always found that the mirrored visors are better for all round riding than just a dark visor.
