Default Wear your helmet! WARNING: GRAPHIC IMAGES

I got this in an email a while back and just figured out how to download the pictures and get them up on here. It's pretty graphic but instructional.

A truck was traveling down the highway at ~ 1Am near Tulsa Oklahoma.
Motorcyclist was traveling at ~120 mph and ran into the back of the moving semi truck.
Truck driver said he felt the impact, and it took almost a half mile for him to pull over.

This is what he found.

He lived.

Yes, that was most certainly a fatality. I saw the news article. Do you think that the photographer would've had the opportunity to take all these shots with no one around if he was breathing?

Please be more courteous about posting graphic images. Some of us don't appreciate being surprised by that type of thing, especially in the presence of family or coworkers.

I have seen these pics before and had the same impression; the pictures are not supposed to be floating around like this. I find it disrespectful for the family of this boy who died. Each of us has done some very stupid things and are lucky that Chance didn't catch us.

This wasn't posted to be disrespectful, but rather educational. These pictures are public knowledge, the biker is not identified here, and it could be argued they should circulate around these circles more. Maybe it could save another's life if it could influence their behavior. I don't want to get into a further argument about this, the point has been made.

Why is the thread title "Wear Your Helmet"? Dude OBVIOUSLY had his helmet on. In fact, had he NOT worn a helmet, his noggin may not have wedged in there like that.

Not only a repeat, but its been on numerous forums and was discussed by Snopes. The victim Brandon Lee White of Oklahoma was killed when he apparently slammed into the rear of the truck at 120 mph. Ironically, his friend Devin Seigal who attended the funeral was killed the following week.

According to that article, this thread is a 2008 variant of the story that claimed the motorcyclist lived, "wear your helmet". Also with regard to any "disrespect", it appears the family hopes that some good can come of their son's death, through increased awareness and implementation of safety laws, will come through this kind of public exposure. Condolences again to the family left behind from a wildly reckless decision to race on the streets. The family advocates among other things, immediate revocation of motorcycle licenses for street racing and extreme excessive speed. Having witnessed the results of these activities myself, I agree. Some riders can't handle the power.

so this guy was drug for a half mile.... wonder if he was out or still aware of what was going on when that happened.... Can you imagine being stuck in that truck fully aware and in agony for a half mile?

Personally, I would have rather had my head splat and just get it over with quickly.

At that speed, you don't need to dent your head to squash your brain.
This guy never knew what hit him.

Kinda like those drug films they showed you in school. Supposed to be graphic to scare you away from doing them. I don't think it worked.

OMG. When I was in eighth grade I got in trouble for talking and laughing during the birds and bees session, so me and another guy had to carry around the snapshots of canker sores and what-not for the class to see. As I made the rounds toting the pictures, I secretly told the class that the teacher took them herself using a mirror. Some of the body parts were male!!!

now I've got a set of guy going through 3 walls of a taco bell without a helmet.. talk about messed up..

If you don't respect your bike, your riding abilities, and so on and so forth.. what else can you expect to do but get hurt, and or killed.
