| Ditch Magnet ![]() | or atleast that i have heard or read about in iowa. and i was out riding today also. brings one back to earth. MARION - Marion police and Linn County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a motorcycle accident that killed a 24-year-old man. Deputies responded about 9 a.m. Saturday to the intersection of Secrist Road and Hindman Road, where they found the man dead. He was 60 to 70 feet away from the motorcycle he was driving. It appears he was wearing a helmet. His name has not been released pending notification of family. The Gazette JUNEAU, WIS. - A woman whose car swerved into the path of an Iowa City man’s motorcycle last summer has been convicted in his death. Darcy L. Schehr, 28, of Hartford, Wis., pleaded no contest Feb. 5 to homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle, according to court records. The judge in the case found Schehr guilty, and she was released on bail while a presen tence report is prepared. Daniel D. Christ, 40, died when his motorcycle was struck by a car driven by Schehr the morning of July 15. The accident happened on Highway 60 west of Hartford, about 40 miles northwest of Milwaukee. Christ was on his way to an international rally for BMW motorcycle owners. Sheriff’s deputies said Schehr was driving east when she entered Christ’s lane. He tried to avoid the collision but Schehr’s car swerved beyond the white fog line and struck the motorcycle, he said. Schehr, who was not injured, faces up to 15 years in prison. Completion of the sentencing phase of the trial should take about 60 days, a court official said Tuesday. looks like this could be another bad year. lets not forget our heads and go crazy the first few warm days of spring. remember the cars are morons and have forgotten about us (well at least in the cold states) for the last 4 or 5 months. hope yall stay safe this year.

| So are they suspecting hit & run in this latest death? Kind of seems like you would need some help to be that far away from your bike at an intersection.
