I've been thinking lately that I'm getting a little long-in-the-tooth (old) for dirt riding, but I still haven't lost the interest, so I was thinking maybe a duelsport might fill the bill, but I have had a few "comprise" bikes in the past, and they always fell a bit short of expections,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, OK, they fell a lot short of expections, but some of the new bikes really sound like they can be good at more than one aspect of biking, my DL 1000 (V Strom) is a good example. Anyway with drgibson buying a new KLR 650, and a friend at work getting a new DR 650, I started thinking maybe I should give the duelsports another chance. So today I made a deal to buy a new 2008 DR 650 ($4,999 out the door). My friend from work and I are planing on going to the Black Hills sometime this summer for a week of on/off road adventure, we both have Harley's and have been to the Sturgis rally's many times, but have never explored the garvel roads that are everywhere in that area. 1996-2008 Suzuki DR650 - Picture Gallery IMG1 - Top Speed |
