I hit traffic almost every time I go home from work. I really wish we had lane splitting here. I have the urge to do it anyways. Knowing my luck if I did I would be thrown in jail.

You can make some good friends in jail.

you'd be caught between two morons that would swerve into you from both sides and become a car sandwich.

I only have 4 miles to ride to work. I don't know how y'all can stand to ride 50, 75, or more miles one way!!
Anyway, I regress....only 4 miles to work and 18 stoplights! This little town of 26,000 has got stoplights up the ying yang!! It seems like I either catch every one of them or None.
When I do catch the lights, several don't change. So far, the cops haven't stopped me from doing a right turn on red, a U-turn and another right turn on red!! When I do get caught, that'll be fun to explain!!

clockdaddy, we have a radical concept that started awhile back.

It's called "right turn on red." Been in place for 35 years. Unless otherwise specified.

......and 18 lights for 26 k? That's too many lights.

Heck, where I live (8 k) there is, there are, come on I know this.

Oh yes, 3 lights.

I don't think this state knows what a YIELD sign is!

I was amazed in Worcestor, Mass. at how few stoplights there are and how many YIELD signs there are. Traffic flowed a lot better even during "rush" hour.
In our town, there may be no traffic but the light is red and you gotta wait til it turns green!! Sure as heck, if you don't wait, Mr. Law is there waiting for you to goof up!

I did find it odd that while driving in certain parts of Frankfort you couldn't turn right on red, even though state law allows it.

There are lots of strange things about this town!!

State law says you can turn left on red when going from a one way street to another one way street...Not in Frankfort!

Even without "NO U-TURNS" signs posted, most of the city kittys will pull you over for it!

The KSU "wanta be cops" now have authority city wide!

The Facility Security "Barney Fifes" now have STATEWIDE authority!

Go figure!!!

i am not positive about this one but, is is not legal to turn left on red in CA, but only from a one way street, onto a one way street

I think about all states have adopted the right turn on red...left turn on red from a one way street to another one way street.
