Default I got a quote on a C50T

Powersports East
620 Pulaski Highway
Bear, DE 19701
Phone: 302-322-4120
Website: Bear, Delaware, Honda, Kawasaki, Polaris, Motorcycles, ATV's, Scooters, Dealer, Used, Rentals, Parts, Accessories, Apparel.

Here's the OTD price for the 2008 C50T in Delaware...MSRP $8,000.00

$9,852.43

This includes, taxes ($516.00), tag transfer ($75.00), dealers prep ($300.00) and freight ($300.00), plus a 5 year extended warranty ($741.00). This warranty includes pickup and delivery for as long as 5 years....If I want an oil change or valve adjustment, they pick it up, do the work and bring it back to my house!!!!

After 5 years, I get my $741.00 dollars back for the warranty!!!

He's throwing in the rear passenger $300.00 floor boards for $12 bucks......

OUCH!!! I need to put down some more money!!!!!

He didn't knock off anything of the MSRP...not one red cent!!

I'l still waiting for another quote from a Stealer closer to me

dan

Looks like he knocking off about $80 bucks........GAWD!!!!

I'm not sure what a fair price would be for a C50T or how rare it is but I have an "ethical" issue with paying MSRP. I've only come close to doing it once and it was for my Bee which was very rare at the time I bought it. Even then, I got the price below MSRP (several hundred dollars...not great but acceptable at the time).

IMHO, a dealer better be throwing in a LOT of free goodies in order for me to hover anywhere near the MSRP. You can tell him that at MSRP, he is just like any other dealer so what good is he? Ask what incentives he is willing to throw in to distinguish himself from all the others.

Good luck! I hope you stick with it and get a good deal.

Spring is the worst time to be buying a bike, dealers know motorcycles are not a neccessity, and that people are usually buying them on impulse.

Good luck.

GEEEZZZ!!!! that's more than I paid for my C90T. MSRP $11,500, Vinnie paid $9,600, branspankinnew. I did buy it in late July, so that would account for the discount. Can't remember what the extra warranty, taxes, etc.. cost but about in your ballpark.

Maybe you should wait for a much better deal?

I bought my red and black c50 last june for 6800 out the door tax and all. Ive heard of others paying less than that. A c50t at most should only be 1000 more so that would be 7800. they tried to get me for dealer prep and freight etc. I just said tell ya what 6800 tax included out the door right now or I walk out the door. I went out the door with my new c50. thats with out the worthless extended warranty by the way. That I got them down to alittle over 400 dollars for that. Then told them I didnt want it. 6800 out the door period.

I'm not against a used C50T as long as it's been taken care of.

The quote was my first, I'm waiting on a quote from Cambridge MotorSports on the Eastern Shore in Maryland.

I can wait for a better deal, it will also give me more time to save up more money......I have $3,400.00 set aside for the C50T, but I also want an intercomm system and a new full-face helmet for my wife, plus riding boots.

What I'm doing now is getting two or three dealers to offer me a quote, then send a collective e-mail to all three and stating, OK, here's the deal from all three of you, who want's to sweeten the deal and sell a bike.......We'll see who wins...

I have the money, it will depend on them. I am consdering going as far as Virginia, that dealer is 176 miles from my house.

I'll keep you posted!!

thanks

I know it is difficult to do but if you do wait you could save yourself a couple thousand. I was looking at the C50T and C90T for about a year and finally found one for cheap. I drove more than an hour away to get it but well worth the discount.

Just checked the dealer where I bought my bike, check page 2. I know it dosen't help much but gives you an idea of what else is happening.

One thing I am very adamant about is taking care of my bikes. Especially since I work on them.

Sometimes you have to work at getting a break in the price. I bought at the peak of demand and spent weeks hitting dealers.
I managed to get $800 off MSRP, plus no freight or setup fees plus top $
for my trade in.

Check Buy or Sell New and Used Motorcycles - CycleTrader.com for prices and good luck.

Fine. Can't do anything about that.

Not only are most warranties a bad deal, this one is far too good to be true. They can only afford to offer that because you'd be getting soaked on the total price.

$300 at his store, maybe. Probably half that online. Again, you'd be paying for it elsewhere.

This will be my first motorcycle out of eight that will be brand new!!....

I can out wait them...

Dan,
I am still waiting on the big Suzuki order - due to a clerical error at Suzuki, our Shipment has been pushed back... Should only be another week or so!!! I'm thinking I can get you a C50T with tax/tag/floor boards around $8700! I promise to keep you posted on the inventory situation!
Thanks again
Jason

Well, at least he's $1,000.00 cheaper than Delaware, but Delaware had the $741.00 extended warranty added too??

So, minus the $741.00 from the Delaware dealer it comes to $9,111.00, so Cambridge is $311.00 cheaper??

Added two more to the quoting game!

I added two more Stealers to the list of quotes.....L&D Suzuki is 41 miles from the house in Dover. Valley Kawasaki and Suzuki is in Harrisonburg Virginia, 200 miles away, I"m just using them as a bargaining chip.....

L&D Suzuki, Polaris, Triumph - The Credit Specialist !!!! 302-674-5410

Harrisonburg, Virginia, Kawasaki, Polaris, Suzuki, ATV, Motorcycle, Scooter, Utility Vehicle, Dealer, Used, Service, Financing

Bear, Delaware, Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Polaris, Motorcycles, ATV's, Scooters, Dealer, Used, Rentals, Parts, Accessories, Apparel.
$9,852.00 (extended warranty and rear boards) w/o warranty it's $9,111.00

New Vehicles from Cambridge Motorsports
$8,700.00, includes rear boards, no warranty

Dan

getting there....I'd be financing around $5,300.00 bucks give or take $100.00 - $200.00.....

dan

3rd quote just came in

$7825.00 out the door with rear floor boards!!!!

Since this is in Virginia, I still need to pay MD. 6% taxes, of which = $469.00, brings the total price to $8295.00 in round numbers......

That's $405.00 less than the Dealer in Cambridge, he's 37 miles from my house, where as the Virginia dealer is 200 miles!!!

I'll send an E-Mail to Cambridge and see if he can either beat or match this price......
