|  Is This Goodbye??
Still having a hard time this morning realizing I bought a '99 BMW F650 [Thumper]...THink I'm gonna love it - How could two bikes be so different. The Thumper reminds me of my diesel truck; lotsa low end torque...lotsa 'grunt'. And lotsa 'boxes'; Jessie and Givie. The handling so far for me is terrifying; on my Bandit I was always up/down on the shifter in curves, always feeling the push/pull of the I4; here, its' more roll on/roll off; downshifting into the 5 gear box is often too much of a change in the torque, resulting in fast slow downs etc. But it steers nicely, feels very light...What a change!
