Default The Great White North

It was saturday...
As nice a sunny day as I've seen since november, temperature hovering around 7 to 8 degrees, and sunday looks like more of the same....sounds like sunday is a good day to bundle up, toss a day permit on the Bike and head out for a short little jaunt...

It was Sunday...it cooled off. Couple of snowflakes are falling. No bother, I'm used to this, I live in the great white north for god sakes. I can wait 'till monday.

It was monday...
Karma kicked me in the pills again. 18 inches of snow fell overnight.

That sucks, we didn't even get that much snow.

I was jacked up last week because the forecast was suppose to be +1 but it only got up to -2 or something. The next day it was freaking cold -20 and windy plus some fresh snow to boot. I'm struggling here man ...... so close to riding soon.

There's this wonderful thing in British Columbia called ICBC -- they've got a monopoly on driver's licenses and insurance. If you want, you can get insurance by the month, or even for just a day or 3 at a time (great for car rentals).

The tradeoff is no competition when it comes to insurance. And that one time a guy with my name got a ticket out of province and my license was revoked? We won't mention that...

Kinda like in Tennessee where it's not so much the heat as it is the humidity.

I have no place to mount my downhill ski outriggers on this bike. What I need to do is get a bandit or some equally weird machine that will look the same whether it's equipped with skiis or burried up to its rear pipe in a snow bank.
