My son and grandson came and took me to the Vancouver International Motorcycle Show.
Wall to wall people.
2 things stood out;
The numbers of young children running around climbing on the dirt bikes and ATV's. The future looks good for riders.
The numbers of Women riders.

It has been almost 20 years since my oldest and I went to our first motorcycle show, the number of people attending has climbed greatly.

I was looking at a fully optioned Goldwing, $32,000.
The larger metric cruisers are in the $20,000 range.
Highend helmets were on sale in the $699 to $999 range.

There were lots of 07 models being discounted, good time to buy.

My grandson won't be 3 till late March, but he sure liked the dirt bikes and he has an eye like a hawk, he spotted one his size 60 ft. away thru a large crowd and we had to run to catchup.
My daughter-in-law is not going to be too happy with me.

The C109RT sure felt good.

There's a Kingpin for sale in the Swap section.

I went to the Minneapolis show yesterday, had a good time. I really like the looks of the Victory bikes with the exception of the Vision. I have seen it on the net but close up it has to be one of the most hideous bikes I have ever seen. Monster scooter on steroids with funky futuristic styling. Just my opinion but there you have it. My bike is now offered in a two tone, maybe I should have waited another year to buy?

It seemed to me that all the bikes had a good center of gravity except the Star bikes. Very top heavy IMO. I was most impressed with the Buell, if and when I can afford another bike that will most likely be my first choice.

Sorry but no pics. I forgot my camera!! Had a bad beginning of my day. I was home alone and needed some food. Could not find a pan in the cupboard and at the same time I was looking I heard a loud hissing sound in the basement. Yep, from last weeks cold a pipe had frozen and decided to burst. Thank God I was home when it happened!! Got pretty wet since the shut off was a foot from the pipe. I got cleaned up and dry and continued to look for a pan but nothing there. Where does my wife hide them? In my stupid frustration I slammed the door and it shattered. I guess it is better to be alone and feel like a dummy than have my family witness my childish tantrum.

Chicago show is this weekend. Anyone planning on being there?

I'm going to try and stop in on Sunday morning on my drive to Nashville, but that's a 9 hour day already so it depends on when I get started.

I was at the Atlanta show - had one of my bikes in the Big Twin Customs competition. didnt win... there was a bike built out of a skeleton - that was pretty attention getting
