Default A different kind of project

Hi everyone,
I know I'm still new here, so most of you dont know that I operate a company called Fith Gear Customs - we build custom exhaust systems and other parts, and have started building complete custom bikes lately. Well, we have a new project that I am kinda excited about and wanted to share with everyone.

We have a custom rolling chasis. Its a chopped and dropped, rigid framed Hyosung GV250. The front end is a Hyosung GT250 - sportbike with inverted forks, etc... We have a stock rear wheel (150 series tire on a 16" rim with a drum brake) on the back and a matching one on the front - yup - a 150 front wheel! Its pretty cool looking - even as a bare chasis.

Well - we are making this old school bobber frame into an all-electric bike. We are installing a 48 volt, 3500 RPM motor and a stack of custom engineered electronic controlers and do-dads (I'm the bike builder, not the electrical engineer ). We are going to grab a sportster gas tank and hollow it out, cut it and hinge it so the elctronics will be weather-protected and the bike will still have the "chopper look".

I have some pictures, but dont have them downloaded from the camera yet - as soon as I do, I will post them for you.

Sounds pretty awesome. Post some pictures when you get the camera hooked up and when you get it finished. I like the idea with the electronics inside of a gas tank.

And when it's done, it'll look like this?

Victory's answer to the Gold Wing, about 22 grand. I think it is ugly as sin, and I was not real impressed. While it is smooth and comfortable, it does not have nearly as much stroage as a wing, and it does not handle curves nearly as well.
