Default Fort Worth International Motorcycle Show OFFICIAL THREAD

OK OK, I say we declare this the official thread for the event. I'll post some pictures soon, but I have to say thanks BIG THANKS to Sunny for the hospitality, and Don for the big laughs during the show. I am real tired, but needless to say, I am glad I went. It was almost 600 miles total on the old GSX-R 750. That motor is still running lord knows why. I hadn't even ridden the bike since April. Here are a few pics for now:

Me trying to clean up this rusted corroded mess before the event.

The first bikes there. Multiply this by 1000's by the time I left at 2 p.m. I've never seen so many bikes. I got an ovation when I started the old 750 to leave. Was freaking hilarious! A true classic gets respect every time!

Oh yeah, BEER AND BIKES!!!!

Anyway, I'll post more later. We did have a great time fo' sho'! We saw the daredevil show too. Don got some good pics there.

Late!

I second your proposal.

Was this the Cycle World IMS, or something local?

Cycle World Iguess, due to the many CW banners located throughout the venue.

I found your description strange because of all the bikes that showed up. Of course, I usually go in February in Minnesota. There aren't many bikes!

Oh yeah, I just checked my date codes on the tires. 26th week of '02. OUCH! I'm a dumbass. These tires were actually purchased in mid-2003. Stupid vendors.

I change tires every 2 years regardless of mileage. Fresh rubber is a must for me, since that is all that seperates me from the concrete. Having a tire sponsorship helps too.

See I tend to wear mine out, it's called riding.

Here is a link to some of the photos from the show, the rest will be up tonight.

Thanks for the pics, I have a friend that displays some of his vintage bikes. Of course the Husky's Bul's and Maico's bring back memories. Were the Balls of Steel guys there doing stunts on pit bikes? My son rides w/ them sometimes.
