Stabil in the gas, and ride it a little once a week. If I can't ride I start it and let it warm completely up. It's kept in a heated garage. It does occaisionally get cold here, but so far it's still in the 80's.

You can scoff at me while I ride around on Dec 26th avoiding the mass of unwanted inlaws at my house.

Funny! I did a spell check and "doodad" must be a word. Google check did not identify it as misspelled.
I just bought a quart of this for my pickup. It has 105,000 miles on it, but still runs perfect!!! So I figure after looking at the doodad at Western Auto, I thought I'd give it a try. Hey, 18 wheel tractor trailers use it and they get 300 - 500,000 miles out of their engines!!!!

I don't know about a motorcycle though.....I figure I'd use the regualr oil they reccommend....if the bike craps out, I'll just buy a new one.....

As much as they brag about the shape of the bottle the oil comes in, don't you think they'd remind us of any additives in BIG BOLD LETTERS?

Maybe. I don't know the composition of the stuff mentioned earlier but it is fairly common for "additives" to be just more of something that is in there already.

I thought it was something that was "added" to the oil, hence the word "add"-"it"-"ives".

Just looking for a way to keep my ride in perfect condition as long as possible. This is the first new bike I have owned so I want to baby it. If you were to see the "doodad" with the additive and the other "doodad" without, the difference in oil flow would be made clear. We use the same "doodad" at work for customer demonstrations the only difference is the oil is vactra #2 which is sticky to begin with.

BTW Landry, who are they?

once it gets cold enough for me to park it for the winter i reserved a spot at a local store to store it at $40 a month... with no garage or place to store it and they'll winterize it, then it's pretty cheap.

i'm in ottawa... it's below freezing right now but there might be a few more days of riding...
looking good end of this week through to next tuesday with a high of +5 to +9C

sure.. i look liek a snowman on a bike, but i'm riding...
