| Well it is over until March. I need to find some "Go Fast" events to shoot so I can continue to hone my skills. I’m still learning the capabilities of this new camera and I have a long way to go. The event for Larry DeAnda went well. They raised several thousand dollars for his family. The quilt and photo were raffled off and the winner of the quilt Bill Henry (one of the racers) turned around and gave it to Patty DeAnda. We had over 50 signatures on each of the photos for both families. The BBQ fed over 300 people and the season was closed by handing out the awards and number plates. On Sunday there was an outlaw race (unsanctioned) so some of the rules didn’t apply. In other words it gave racers an opportunity to race in different classes. This proved to have some interesting results including Cory Richards a young teen putting it to most of the pro field coming in third. All in all it was a fun weekend. Here are some photos from this weekend. This is Jason Tyer #12 riding Larry DeAda's scooter in the two classes he rode in as a memorial to him. A very classy gesture. ![]() ![]() Dick Ford #14 and the rider in my logo with his feet in the air. ![]() Bill Synder #1 not for looks or riding skills but for promoting Bultacos ![]() Michael Toon #22L just trying to get a better view. ![]() Scott Beckley #10 ![]() More to follow...

| Wild Will Kelly $6 riding a borrowed twin and doing quite well. ![]() Sammy Sweet #60N Riding haer trying to catch Michael Toon. ![]() Jason Jessup #44 on a very nice Harley. Side note Jason's dad Gerald Jessup just came back from Bonniville where he rode a 1951 500cc Triumph to a top speed of 101.89 and an over all of 86.86 a record in the fuel class. I'm not sure how old Gerald is but he is older than my 76 year old dad. ![]() Scott Scherb #78 on his new old BSA ![]() Merle Scherb (who stole one of his dad's bike) testing out the rear shock

I know I screw around a lot and I'm almost never serious, but that right there (IMHO) is what really matters . . . stuff like that. When it's all said and done and the dust settles on our lives, these are the things that people will remember fondly about us. Our money, our toys, all that crap . . . really mean nothing once we're gone, but our kind words and unselfish acts . . . that's the good stuff that lives on. Bill Henry is the man. [EDIT] Next time you see him, send him my salute. Last edited by themeatmanlandry; 10-19-2007 at 11:04 AM. | |
