I took my engine apart this weekend a bit and did some cleaning and my own valve clearance checks. I ended up spending 6 hours exploring the inner workings of my engine on Saturday and while it wasn't fun ( was nervous to be honest ) I did learn a lot.  Valve clearance check, oil change, chain tightening/cleaning. All in all a good day but when I got done I was absolutely soaked ( 92 degrees and HIGH humidity ). This may not mean much for those of you who are good mechanics but for someone who is far from mechanically-inclined I think I did pretty good. |
