| I just installed one of these on my c50 and thought a review was in order Pro's 1. Safer than standard throttle locks as it releases with the pull of the front brake lever. 2. Easy to engage with the push of a button 3. Easy to disengage with the touch of a button, or pull of the front brake (see #1) 4. Easy to adjust throttle position with unit engaged.. Cons: 1. Cost almost $200.00 2. Not an easy install, directions are not as easy to follow as they could be and, pictures aren't clear in some places. IMHO the safety factor out weighs any of the cons listed above. |

You will find unless you are on an interstate and on level ground that is all a throttle locker is good for. My Breakaway has been a nice edition. But like I said,, I only lock it when I am shaking out the hand or doing a couple right arm stretches. Wouldn't buy any other,, good choice!!!

| $35.00 You can over ride it with a turn of your wrist.

| I'm with you. Spent $30 on my Vista Cruise. I use it to scratch that itch I can't get to with the left hand, adjust my right mirror a bit while moving, etc. Rarely is it engaged for more than 30-seconds to a minute. Even on the highway. It's not a true 'cruise control' so minute adjustments are necessary due to slight variations in road surfaces, inclines, declines, and traffic. Thus, no reason for me to spend $200 when $35 works just as fine and is just as easy to engage as the breakaway. Disengaging via front brake being a safety factor wasn't relevent to me, as it wouldn't be used in a situation where I'd need to disengage with the front brake. Kept my Vista set so I could still roll the throttle all the way forward or all the way backward with it engaged....and in a pinch, I could hit the kill switch (to the vista OR the bike) relatively quick if necessary. |

| May 2007 Member of the month ![]() | lol!!!! I like to do that too!!!!! Well I like the fact that the one I have has that feature just in case. But to each his own and for the purpose he uses his for it sounds like it works good for him.

| You can flap your arms like a bird with the Vista Cruise. Matter of fact, I'd put money on it that I could disengage it faster than you could with the Breakaway. I don't have to move my hand up to grab the brake to disengage the Vista, it just takes a quick flip of the thumb while most of my hand is still on the throttle. I'd be happy to make a short video of its use like this...if it would help somebody save $170 and/or wanted to see it in use (in neutral in my driveway...). |

| I'll make a video tonight if I remember. Dunno who has the best price. Cruiser Customizing has it for $30 right now. I think I got mine at a local dealer for $32? $35? instead of the $30 online prices I'd seen + shipping. |
