Default Busa question

I have a question might seem dumb but ohh well..

On the busa on the right side near where your knee would be while riding there is somethign that looks like a cd player... is that what it is or is it something else?

its there to protect the frame from any blemishes that may be caused from you moving around. Most of us just take them off
