Default Hello from this old redneck Bama noobie!

Let me introduce myself. I am 49 years old and have been riding since 13. I am old enough now to know better, yet still young enough not to care. I just bought my second Suzuki this year. I normally ride Honda but like the styling of Suzuki better. My 1st was a Marauder but let myself get talked out of it by a neighbor. My current one is a VL800 Volusia that I bought from an old man up the road from me. I really like it compared to the Marauder. My wife does not care for it much. She says the back seat is like a brick. Most of these bikes are like that I guess. If anyone has a solution to the brick seat problem, please pass it on? If anyone has a good source for custom accesories, that would be helpful also. Nice talking to you-Stan.[/b]

Hi there, try a gel pad. There portable and greatly reduce shocks from bumps and vibration.

Best solution for the back seat? Get her licensed and the MSF course! My wife found that to be the best solution to a miserable back seat!

Stan,
Here's a few good sites that have a lot of everything.

www.kneedraggers.com
www.pitposse.com

Maybe those will help.

BTW, Welcome (from another Bama boy)

Hey cyclemanstan,
I found a few more sites that mat really help...

www.mustangseats.com

www.sargentcycle.com

www.amspecialtiesusa.com

The last site has gel seats that go over your existing seat.
Hope these help.

Welcome! Good bike choice, I have been enjoying my new Boulevard C50 ('05 Volusia renamed) for a couple weeks now. My GF says the back seat is comfy, but she just passed MSF last weekend so now she'll be out getting some experience driving the GZ 250.
