Hey, LayinLo_usmc: Were you serious when you said you'd like to come over and see the outlaw races?

You're not a cop are you? Don't nark these folks out!

You can't stay at my place (wife's a little leery of folks I meet on the 'net), but I'll gladly meet you somewhere (I'll even get some hotel #s) or just tell you how to get to the spot where they race.

Caveat: These races are impromptu, illegal and on the spot. You may drive all the way here and see nothing . . . or you may come away writing your own post about it.

If you'd like to come up, let me know.

Okay, it's obvious I've never been there (but they tell me it's nice). I've bought all of my 'tars in Mempho.

Cheaper in Memphis.

Gruhn is kind of high on a lot of his stuff. His selection isn't what it used to be either.

I will actually fly across the puddle in September or October to visit my best friend in NYC who just had a baby (I'm waiting for the baby to look like a human being, since newborns all look like spiders to me).
The thought of watching you playing and drinking wouldn't work to make me cross the country though...while a good track ride would
Laguna Seca? Ya know? I like SCREWdrivers! <evil grin>

ciao, Janis

I was at Laguna last month for the World Superbike races. You want to do a trackday out here?

Hmmmmm . . . easier to get slots at Thunderhill or Buttonwillow. Infineon is expensive. Sometimes there are slots at Laguna Seca, but there are noise restrictions there. All my bikes have aftermarket pipes, sans the 250 Ninja racebikes. Those are going up for sale however.

Why not? I'm just playing...mostly because...

...as every smart woman knows, I will have to wait for you to have the second child, which is the point when sex is over forever and wives become mothers.
Having just had the first you are still hoping it will get better...and it actually will (that's how the second one is conceived)...then....blank.
And yes, I know many married men (friends, not lovers!).

ciao, Janis

p.s. I could place random smileys here and there, but I'm being actually serious. Too cynic?

It's the only one I know over there (because I watch the races on TV).

Funny...they do world champs races then set noise restrictions for us?
Can I say %%%%%%%s here?
Are there any possibility to rent a bike and go to the other tracks you mentioned? Do you have any URLs so I can see them? Is there a kind of a scheduled days when amateurs can go riding there?
Do I make sense?

ciao, Janis

Yes, your Honor. I plead guilty to one count of "Misquoting Office Space". I throw myself upon the mercy of the court (or on Janis, whichever is softer)

I know you hate lawyers over there so I wanted to hide this fact...
Sigh...
well you can go on with jokes on lawyers, I think I know them all.
(here in Italy people seem to get along fine with lawyers...)

ciao, Janis
