Default need tank bag recommendations

i have a tank bag, but it's kinda small (was a freebie tossed in when i bought the bike). it's fine for keeping a few munchies and my wallet in there, and a map, but the clear map pocket kinda sucks to be honest. it's not big enough for a regular 8.5x11 page to fit in there without crumpling it up a bit, so printed maps from mapquest or similar are kind of a pain (plus, the opening is too damned narrow since it's kind of tapered).

anyways, i'd like to get a new (and bigger) tank bag. one feature that is top of the list is the map holder. are there ANY bags that would let me get at the map pocket without having to unzip the whole cover, and IDEALLY ones that i could easily reach in while wearing gloves to swap pages when stopped at a red light?

i was thinking - if someone made a bag where the top map window had a zipper or velcro along the bottom and side edge, it could easily be opened, a page pulled out or swapped, and then quickly closed - without having to mess around with it excessively.

so, what's everyone using? this is for a sport-bike, if that makes any aesthetic difference. tank is steel (and quite big), so magnetic bags work perfectly.

recommend?
