Default 1098s (the S stands for SUCK)

A friend of mine back in Michigan was telling me about a friend of his who bought a Ducati 1098s. I was very surprised to hear the following information:

"The bike has been the biggest POS so far... The frame was scratched when he got it, the powdercoating comes off the frame when you wipe it... the paint is so soft it scratches even with a microfiber cloth. He bought a full termignoni exhaust for it with a new ecm... The ecm was fried when it came. After putting about 1000 miles on it... it stalled and wouldn't start back up again. It wobbles at about 150mph too."

When you buy a $25,000 bike, you don't really expect those kinds of problems, if any at all. My friend went on to tell me that the Ducati dealership is trying to sell the bike for him and get the manufacturer to pick up the difference.

Makes me very glad to own such a common bike.
