Default Can you get a refund on a good deed?

I went for my usual after dinner ride tonight, an as I'm out and about, I pass a car on the shoulder of the road, and the lady inside is waving one arm outside her window.

So I'm thinking she wants help; broke down, and is waving for help. I ride on waiting for a spot in the road to U turn and go back. Meanwhile, she keeps waving, other folks keep driving by.

I finally turn around, go back to see her, unbuckle my helmet and pull it off as I approach her care, (so I don't "scare" her), and I pull up beside her.

She put's her windows up, locks the doors, holds a bible up to the window, and starts yelling something at me, and in the meantime, she's frantically trying to drive away from me in her broke down car.

I never got to say a word, get off my bike, or anything; she just lost it.

So I put my stuff back on, took off and left her there. I suppose I should be glad she didn't shoot me, which wouldn't be to odd in this day and age.

The world is a strange place anymore....

Does karma still work when you try to do the right thing?
