|  Too hot to ride?
The last few days the weather here has been really hot and humid. Right now it is 35C (95F) but with the Humidex reading it is more like 47C (116F). But now with the temperature getting this hot I'm seeing a lot more motorcycle riders wearing T-shirts and shorts. I would like to go for a ride but even with a mesh jacket it will still get uncomfortable in the full face helmet, jeans, gloves and boots. I'm first to admit I'm a fair weather rider so if it's raining or there is a forecast of rain I'm not going to ride. But in this case I don't want to drop the jacket and gloves and ride in shorts and T-shirt either. I would prefer to wear my full face helmet instead of the half because I would head out to the Highway rather than cruise in the city because I don't want to fry while sitting at red lights. Anyone feel the same or should I just suck it up and ride.  And somebody please tell me that it's a bad idea to ride in shorts and a T-shirt. It looks soooo tempting.  |
