Can you make turns with this "bike"?

(It IS a bike, right?)

I bet wearing a jacket with tails like that....can be problematic around the rear tire or chain.

I wonder if a tail ever did catch in the chain or tire....would it instantly rip the jacket off...or try to drag the rider through.

I'm guessing that he'd become rapidly associated with the underlying road surface in the event that his jacket became tangled in his "bike".

I don't know that I really "like" it but I do like it from the aspect of originality when looking at it as purely an art piece. It looks like it could make highway runs but the turning radius would be far to poor to make even the most generous corner around town.

I see something that could be a front brake.

I don't know about brakes but I think the duct tape is a nice touch.

Couple things about that bike; I don't see any kind of a brake anywhere. Those spokes within those wheels look weak, I wonder what the wheels are made from and how, and behind on the chain, on the frame is a bunch of "duct tape".

I'm gueesing the tape keeps the chain from marking the frame, but why spend all that time and money to build something so unique, but then finish it with a wad of duct tape?? WTF??

I can't really seen that bike being ridden for anything other than the novelty of it at the occasional show either.

I found out the builder is a guy from Finland. I'll try to get some links a little later.....

An "external shoe rear brake" I'm ASSuming it acts against the rear tire?

There's actually a brass plate under that tape 2006 Custom Isto Omega Chain Photo

I guess the original photos were taken before the final show prep work was done.

I like it. The guy is definately an artist. Very cool.

Nice homage to Von Dutch with the flying Eyeball...
