Default Good naughty fun!

Were going to go on a group ride up north, but it sprinkled a bit, instead of fighting the weather- we decided to go stuntin'. One of my fellas has a Gixxer 600 he bought as a beat up stunt bike, and we fixed up some issues with it, and took it to a parking lot and played for a bit.

Really crowded shop last night- check out the cherry CB900F of my buddies.

Group effort running down some rear set bracket issues.

Loadin' her up!

Some of us went 11 o'clock high (not me, I was total suckage, as next pic after this one will show gatherin)

My week assed wheelie

1) SQUID!

2) You should get some tips from Don or PhotoJoe about taking action shots!

nice, but wear some gear other than elbow pads and a spine protector if you want any skin left...

I would love that opportunity. Many of those stunters really aren't that skillful. They just have money to blow on wrecked bikes.

Actually- we never get over about 20mph- if that- we stick to small areas for that reason alone- we have a "no getting out of first gear" rule- if you can't do a wheelie in first- you sure as hell can't do it in second gear LOL

So we use impact gear, not really sliding gear.

the only times I have "touched down"- I don't even get a scratch of road rash- it is hitting elbows, knees and your back or head that isthe problem.

You simply don't slide at speeds that slow- you roll.

I wear leather "stuntin' boots- they have ankle protection from the bike landing on them- and you can't see the shin/knee protectors under my carharts LOL

We have a couple more stunt bikes we are building, should have 4 before the winter is over, and two full on track bikes for road racing as well.

For the road racing, however, we go full power-ranger suits LOL

BTW- I am joe safety in my shop. Ear protection, gloves, eye protection, all mandatory, all the time.

The "action" shots are captured from 16 frame high resolution gifs. I just don't know how to do them like the other fellas LOL

Good stuff, Ram. Don't worry about the naysayers; there really just aren't many members of this forum into stunting. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

Tips from Don will be what you're looking for. I shoot High School Seniors and Food. Neither of which move very fast! I've done some action, but nothing I'm proud of. Don is the man!

Secondly, as I'm looking on Craigslist almost daily, I can only hope that when I can buy my bike, it isn't one of your old ones!

Reminds me of Full Metal Jacket when Joker is in the helicopter, and the door gunner is just shootin' the hell out of the countryside.

Joker: "How do you shoot women and children?"

Gunner: "You just don't lead 'em as much!"

I'd do it if I had the money to blow on a stunt bike. Looks like a lot of fun. Good job on staying safe.

The cool thing is NOT to blow alot of money on a stunt bike- but rather- to spread it around a bit- and do it legal as well!

The dude that owns the bike bought it cheap from a local stunt team- a pro-team that just got free bikes from thier sponsors.

It had some issues, and had been a stunt bike for a couple years.

So, we all threw in and worked on it- got all the issues sorted out in a few hours. You should see the shifter bracket fix- positively ghetto LOL-but workable.

We are all noobs, and have jobs, so no hurting ourselves and missing paychecks!

So what we are doing is no more dangerous than just riding two wheels in traffic!

Well, broke the sub-frame on a "looped" wheelie attempt (not me BTW)- had to rebuild the subframe, and build in a "12-step" on to it while we were at it.

Two things about stunt bikes:

1) If it aint your bike- you break it, you buy it

2) You will break something. You better have some fab-ing skillz!
