Welcome to the site Federica. Tell us more about yourself, how long have you been riding, what kind of bike (although I assume it's an SV), etc.

Oh yes! anyway you all can have a look on may web site....
I started my bikers life 3 years ago with a CB 500: I had just moved from Trieste, a city in the north east of Italy , a city on the sea. I had just moved to Milano, in the middle of the Italian north plan.I felt so lonely, without my friend and family. All that FOG!!!!
I was so SAD, but so sad, that I decided to change something in my life:
SO I went to a driving-licence school, I started with a CB 500.
I bought my first bike ,then I learned to drive it onthe mountains near Milan, running with some Guzzi-lovers bikers friends of mine (love makes you do strange things..!) ...then , one year ago, I decided to buy also this Suzuki SV (you're right!) . I liked it so much!! well I don't like going fast with my bike, I mainly prefer mountain narrow streets, streets on the seaside....in the middle of nature in general...

I'll tell you other adventures as time goes on...bye!!!!!!
Federica

Welcome to the site.

Im a fellow SV rider myself. In a post above, you mentioned the fact that there arent alot of SV riders. This is true, however, the bike is making a big impact on the market. When Im over in Daytona and driving down the I4 corridor, Im starting to see lots of them.

Ciao Federica!

Take a look at www.svdownunder.com

GSX-Rs are very popular in Australia, especially the 1000. The SV650S is one of the few successful non-supersport models with less than 750cc to sell here.

Everyone, if you are lucky to travel to Federica's part of the world, take a tour of the Moto Guzzi museum in Mandello. The V8 500 GP bike is a highlight.

GREAAAT Sime!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
what I hear about!??? somebody who loves MOto Guzzi old-fashon bikes.......!!!!!!
I'm surprised and I enjoy it!
I went to Mandello last year to the Guzzi bikers meeting, on Lake of Como(one hour of bike trip from here), I have some firned from the site www.guzzisti.it (also, I have a friend that has his shoulders completely tatooed with the big eagle and the "Moto Guzzi" printed on him!!!!).... My dream is to have a little V35 for my own, but at the momento the money is not so much, the time to dedicate at my bikes is not so much(Guzzi needs a lot of continuous supervision, they say)...I wait better times!
But did you come to Italy in the past?!
bye!
Happy to hear tha Australia is a place of "suzukist"

and thank a lot for the link you suggested me!

Okay Fed, I have family in Italy, in the Veneto, Friuli and Piemonte...so I am lucky to have been to Italy a number of times. Never on a moto though . As well as the Moto Guzzi factory I have been on a tour of the Ducati factory and museum. The collection there is amazing, and it was interesting to compare Ducati and MG. MG was almost sad, the condition of this beautiful factory. But that was 2001. Thank God Ivano Beggio is spending lots of money at MG... like with the MGS-01...now THAT has "grinta"

a dopo,
sime

YOU SPEACK ITALIAN!!!!?!I'm from FRIULI!!!!!!
Hi Sime, I update my home page, now it's more internationally readeble. I only added some indications about places my granparents went with their Gilera Sidecar.....I'd like to have it still in may garage, but this bike "desappeared" during sixties..My Granpa did'nt know the vale of such a bike...
You're right :Moto Guzzi factory is still in bad conditions, some stupid choices of past owners of the factory brought to that.
I should have met Mr Beggio last year, he was with some friend of mine but I DID'nt RECOGNIZE him!
I was taking some pictures of my "Guzzist" friends, they were visiting the museum toghether with Beggio, talking about the "doctor Jhon" Guzzi Daytona(if I remember well) ..and...I asked a man, who was probably Beggio, "please move away , I have to take a photo of my friends!!!"...!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's ONE of my story....next, later..!

If its possible, can you post some information or some links concerning this "unofficial" SV trophy. I think that would be cool to see.

One question, in your pic, you have a sv650, correct? and if so, your post states that these bikes are all over your area. Is it mostly the sv650 or the sv650s?

Hi jonathan, well, I have a red SV 650 "S", but it seems to me that the naked version is more diffused for its more confortable position. Anyway what I can say is that it seems that the "S" version has a little bit more distribuited power - but it should not be so a great difference.
The naked one is very nice for me, and it should give a lot of satisfaction in narrow and curved roads on our mountains.
There are a lot of "famous" valleys to ride near here, where you can see not only four cilinder(is that the right word?) bikes but also a lot of bi-cilinder, such the wonderful DUCATI. You can hear their sound arriving from very far away...it's a very nice sensation!
