Default Left foot hot

Hello, I am wondering if anybody else has this problem or is it even a problem.
I have noticed lately that my left foot starts getting pretty hot while riding. I think it maybe due to installing the Switchblade 2UP and the National cycle lowers. It has also been in the 90's here but i don't recall this issue last year.
I am not getting any temp warnings and the bike runs fine. Like I stated earlier I suspect the lowers . Anybody else seen the same thing or similar?

Thanks, Dan

Get Your Foot Off The Asphalt !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

60 mph asphalt will heat anything up.

Hot asphalt, hot tempts = warm feet. It all depends though; riding in the country at 65 vs. 65 in the city with all the vehicle exhaust might as well boost the temp up.

Sorry never really though about it, make sure your wearing MC boots and that should get rid of your problem. If you already are it shouldn’t be that uncomfy.

Hello again, I guess I should have described the sensation a little more. 1st off due to the affcets of chemotherapy a few years ago I really don't have any feeling in the bottoms of my feet however, this is more on the left ankle and seems to be radiating from the clutch housing. I took a ride after writing the first message and noticed the heat (ankle burning) at 25 to 35 MPH. Ambient air at around 88. Above that speed no issues at all. I am not going to worry about too much right now because it started Saturday and I may be still feeling the effect more from then (around 100 Saturday).

Thanks,
Dan

How about some good riding boots that protect your ankles? I don't have any heat problems at all around my feet, even on very hot days where the engine warmth does radiate through my leathers when I'm waiting at an intersection.

Unless you're riding with your leg against the engine you shouldn't be able to feel the heat if the engine's running normally. I have had to wear well-soled dress shoes while riding (not my first choice but meetings have protocol) and notice absolutely no heat on my ankles while on the M50.
I have, however, had some pretty real burns on my instep and inner shin from a leaking exhaust and blown head gasket (seperate occurances) on my CB750 and CB550. Being a newer bike I wouldn't get worried, but at least check and see if you're getting any abnormal air pulses around that area while the bike is parked.
