Unhappy In memory of Gabi

I've read many (too many) posts here about "another biker down". It's sad, but I can usually read the posts with a fair amount of emotional distance. Sure, people die every day. And people die in motorcycle accidents. Can't do much about that.

In the Swiss motorcycle forum, I just read that one of our members was killed this morning. She was out on a tour in Alsace, France and for unknown reasons she went off the road, into the trees.

I'm a bit shaken up now. About 15 minutes before I saw the post, I had been sorting pictures from my camera, and saw a picture of her from one of our rides earlier this year.

Rest in Peace, Gabi.

No, I doubt I've mentioned her name. We weren't close friends, but we knew each other from several MotoTreff events and rides over the past few years.

What really spooked me is the fact that I was looking at pictures from a MotoTreff ride about 10 minutes before I checked the forum. There were a couple of pictures from when we stopped for lunch, and I looked at those and thought "oh, there's Manu, Speedy, Gabi, and ...", then 10 minutes later, I read that she has passed away.

Unhappy Man,that's terrible

It's always sad to hear of a fellow rider being lost. Even worse when you have known them personally.
Condolences to her family and friends

Another rider goes down,
It happens so fast.

A missed curve,
a badly timed move.

Not paying attention,
or out of the groove.

Another rider goes down,
But,this time it's the last.

Rest in Peace ,Gabi
