Default Proficient Motorcycling Poor Binding!

I'm not even done reading the book yet and it's falling apart. I tried searching to see if anyone else has problems with the binding on this book and I see some people have. I would like to write a letter to the publishing company to have them take back our poor copies and send us remanufactured copies somehow. Just want to see how many people I can add to the list so they listen.

I paid full retail for the book and the information inside is valuable and is a book I would hope to someday pass down to my kids if they ever start riding. A few of my friends are also starting to ride and I would like to push them to read it, but if the book doesn't stay together then they probably won't touch it.

It's a common problem with the recent printing. I'd drill some holes and pop-rivet the thing.

Some of the best books I've bought had crappy binding. Why do fiction books (which I generally read once and never refer to again) always have decent binding, yet a good reference falls apart like a dandelion?

Yeah, this is the thread I was referring to. It really sucks. I want the manufacturer to fix the problem, as it is not apparent when purchasing the book that it will fall apart in your hands from the moment you begin reading it.

I may do this, but I'd rather it just be fixed haha.

Could be a curing issue with the adhesive they use to bond the paper to the shell. Try contacting the publisher... maybe they'll send you a new copy.

I ended up putting mine in a 3 ring binder.

Same thing happened to mine, a new copy bought off of Amazon. The principal of the thing is worth a new copy from the published. But, what I did was punch holes in it and put it into a 3-ring binder. I didn't want to send it back while I was reading it. Oh well.
