| Seeing how it is getting late in the model year, and the Hornet 900 is being sold down under, I would suspect that you will not see the 2007 Hornet 600. But the 2008 models will be announced in about a month, so maybe you will get it for 2008.

| What a pain.... Cheers for the reply... I'm moving to Australia soon and I'm looking to buy a bike as soon as I get out there. I might have to look at the new Triumph Street Triple or the Aprilia Shiver. I'm not sure about Triumph build quality... And the Shiver doesn't look as good as the Hornet |

| Muscle Biker ![]() | For the record, the Triumphs are built very well. A friend just bought a 1999 Triumph Speed Triple that is like new! Another friend had an accident with his Aprilla, and had lots of problems getting spare parts - and we only live 300 km away from the Aprilla headquarters! I would be very cautious about buying an Aprilla down under - you could wait months before they can deliver parts!

| Muscle Biker ![]() | Have you looked at the Triumph Tiger? For everyday use, I would tend to stay with a Japanese or German bike. How about a BMW 650GS?

| I'd go with the Triumph, hands down. Aprillas are notorious for poor reliability and the unavailability of spare parts.

| Since you like the Hornet so much, and since it may not be available down under, why dont you have a look at the Suzuki 600GSF (a.k.a. Bandit)... Has more or less a similar look to the Hornet, round lights and all! |
