Default What, exactly is a squid?

I'm not too sure what is meant by squid. What does it mean?

This is the only definition I put any stock in:

Quote:
Based on similarity between the way a "squid" rides and an actual squid swims.

* Squids can appear unable to change direction while swimming without first coming to a near complete stop. However, once the squid does stop and change directions, it can very quickly accelerate back to its regular swimming speed. Beginning motorcyclists commonly have trouble negotiating turns, and must slow down to unnecessarily slow speed, while at the same time have a tendency to ride very fast on the straight sections of the road.
The rest are "hindsight" definitions made up by tremendously clever people, I think.

It means someone that goes out and buys a brand new gixxer, only to wreck it after putting less than 1,000 miles on it.

1000 miles? Surely you're being generous...

I have three definitions:
- any n00bie who insists they need a 1L bike as their first ride "because they'll grow out of anything smaller"
- the dumbass punk who pops a wheelie coming off a stop sign only to flip it backwards/ crash into a car/ let go and watch it bounce down the road and into a ditch
- the rider who thinks hitting 150 km in a 50 km zone is a good idea

Having been in the navy I thought you were talking about all the guys that re-enlist the first chance they get and spend it on buying a brand new sports bike when they've never ridden before. I do like the Stupidly Quick acronym though!!!

Edit: I just finished the squid test, it's hilarious. Clickey!! This was my score: "Your score indicates that you are a fairly responsible motorcyclist but a bit of a wise-ass."

Apparently I'm "a halfway decent rider and wise-ass who is way too narcissistic his or her own good" with a score of 77. Maybe I should have told that guy to remove the armor all from his seat before he sat on it? LOL.

LOL !!!

It's just WAY to hard not to be a wise ass on that test. Good thing they didn't have choices for "all the above" or "fill in your answer". Someone would be coming to take my bike and beer away.

A squid is also what those stupid kids look like once the cops find them on the road. Cut in half and intestines hanging out - giving them the appearance of a squid.
