| This is my first summer as a motorcyclist - I started riding in September last year and I'm loving it! I only had about 600 miles between my MSF in September and the end of the year. 300 of those on my 86 Rebel 450, and about 300 on my new S50. Since then I've put on 3000 miles - the last 1000 of those in the last 2 weeks. The weather is finally consistent and my truck has barely been driven. It's great! I love my truck (2007 Tundra 5.7L) but it does not come close to the enjoyment I'm getting from riding. I ride to my client's offices - the furthest one is 115 miles away, and I ride just fot the sake of riding. I went out to get milk last night (.5 miles to Dari Mart) and it took me an hour and 48 miles - but I caught the most awesome sunset over the coast range. Today I went exploring and found another awesome loop route of 70 miles in the coastal range - mainly logging roads so twisty, with hills and no other traffic. For anyone in or around Eugene, the route was: West 11th to Crow Road, South to Crow. South on Territorial for .25 miles West on Wolf Creek Road East on Siuslaw River Road to Lorane North on Territorial to Bailey Hill Bailey Hill to Bertelson back to W11th. I haven't had this much fun in a vehicle since I owned a TVR in England. Just had to share my elation. Here are a couple pics from today's ride ![]()

| Good for you. You're really lucky to be able to ride to work.

Yeah, although it doesn't rain as much here in Oregon compared to England. Our summers here in Oregon are pretty much rain free and less humid than England.

| Seat Tester | I am in the same boat as ORBrit. I just started riding in the end of the summer of 06. Best thing I ever did. I ride to work every night. If it weren't for me riding to work I think I would go insane. Somehow I find the 25 minutes back and forth to work on the bike is somewhat therapeutic and makes having to work somewhat tolerable.
