Default Saw an M50 this weekend

I had decided on a long looping ride yesterday (Monday). So I went over the Beacon Bridge (crossing the hudson river) and cruised through Newburgh on my way south, to come back over the hudson river at the Bear Mountain bridge. It ended up being a 128 mile trip due to a detour...but boy it sure was a pretty ride.

While at a traffic light in Newburgh he passed me. It looked like an 07 Black M50. It was very clean...but then again it could also have been because it was an 07.

I beeped my horn, knowing he didn't see me in the line of cars. He hit the brake, looked over, smiled and waved back.

Man, these bikes look great on the road.

Sounds like a nice ride.

But as for the M50, you are a bit bias.

I, sir, beg to differ! And I rarely beg.

Let me know if you're going to come down near Wallenpaupak anytime this year.

I'll let you know. Although I no longer have the summer house there, I still go up there to enjoy the area.

We took the kids to the Great Wolf Lodge the day after Christmas. We spent like 3 days there going on all the water slides. I wanted to cross the street and take everyone for a big tube ride down Camelback...but the wife & kids thought it was too cold.

Lately I've been thinking about a road I went on years ago. There's a road (I forget its name) which runs around Port Jervis, somewhere. I remember it snaking along the mountainside, although not so vividly because I was like 12 when I went on it. But I think it followed the river & there was a big drop on one side & the mountain on the other.

I'll have to check my maps...but there's some gorgeous riding up that way.

Maybe 209? That will take you through Deleware National Park along the river and it originates in or above Port Jervis, I'm sure.

[edit] Just mapped it. That must be it. Takes you through Bushkill near the falls along the PA/Jersey border.

Yes, that does appear to be the same road. I think it was in a car or tire commercial at one point.

I remember it as a nice twisty...but what I remember most was that the scenery was breath taking. Which looks like it's the park section.

That sounds like a nice ride.

That area around Bushkill is fantastic. We used to enjoy that in our cars (a bunch of us had various late models Mustangs with way too much money dumped into them) and always said how much fun it would be on a bike.....And now that i finally have one...

Thanks for the reminder =]

LOL....I know exactly how you feel.

Lately all I do is think of roads to cruise on. Perhaps its just being jealous because I can't get down to the Dragon...and I'm trying to find the next closest thing I can ride to?

Oh piss....!!!!

You've got plenty of effin' curvy roads to ride on around you. Quitcher %%%%%in' and ride man! Ride!!!

You don't have to go far for curves sir. See the forest for the trees man! I have to drive at least 500 miles for decent curves to ride on. Take advantage of what you got in front of you, cause it ain't better elsewhere. Especially in this godforsaken %%%%%hole of a state I live in.

LOL....OK, yeah there are some great roads around here too.

But there is also the good company, which is what I imagine it would be if I were riding with the folks I hang with while on this site.

Damn Bill.....! Is it that time of the month? Are your estrogen glands out producing the testosterone glands this week?

Sheesh! You sound like a woman!! If it ain't one thing to complain at, it's another!!!!

Just kiddin' man...I know. I often have to do my best riding by myself. That's just the way it is.

Yeah...I get this way whenever I spend a vast amount of cash.

As I write this, they're finishing up the final touches on the new pool. It's a biggun too. Rectangular (for volleyball) and for me to do my laps.
<sigh>

I guess it's true, I'm a cheapskate.

Geez Tim, you're a bit rough on the Beaver today!

You need a beer to get the aliens out of your head.
