Default VX 800

Suzuki VX800,
800cc water-cooled V-Twin shaft drive 5-speed, made only '90-'93.

Anyone have any first hand knowledge on the VX? Been looking at them as a possible addition to my garage. I got that Suzuki virus and need some more to feed my addiction. Thankfully I have no desire for another Harley. I like real motorcycles!

my brother has 91 vx800 and i have ridden it quite a few times i think it is a great bike i have been tring to find one for my self to replace my gs550m that i learned to ride on. the power on it is down in the rmp range and pulls stong. It is a little top heavey in the the twistys but other than that i love the bike. That and it not being classified as a sport bike and my age only being 20 helps keep the insuance down.

There is a real clean one here in SoCal for sale i was looking at, but I have to wait. The wife wants a new bike first! Maybe you could buy it, take a vacation fly out and ride it home! It would be a great trip!

Out here insurance seems to be done by CC's rather than bike type. An SV 650 cost more to insure than a GSXR 600!

i found one in virgina beach of 1300 and almost bought it but by the time i got ahold of the guy he had sold it. there was only 4 minor marks on it and it had 12000 miles on it.
I might be geting my brothers if he gets the gsx-r 1000 that he wants and he said he would sell it to me for what he paid for it back in may and that is only 1200 so i might just hold out for that.
