Default New Shoes

Funny how you have to almost learn how to shift/brake all over again once you buy a new pair of shoes.

I had my old pair for about a year; there were little crevices worn into the bottoms that the footpegs fit snugly in. The leather on the top of my left shoe was soft and pliable from the shifter, and there was even a dimple worn into the bottom of the left shoe from the shifter.

I honestly never thought that I'd miss a pair of shoes so much...

You aint kiddin. I recently got a new pair of work boots with steel toes. It took about a week of riding to figure out how to shift again. I had been wearing some army surplus boots (can't beat em for 12 bucks) which let you feel everything.

I have to break my boots in a little before riding with them.

I'll wear them a few times before trying them on the bike.

I have to replace my flip flops every week or so. The gear lever wears though the plastic strap by my big toe. Maybe if I go to Sears instead of Walmart I can get better quality.

Are you crazy!
Regular Flip flops on a bike!?!

Everyone who's serious about riding knows you should only wear high-top flip-flops while riding!

It's worth it though, the respect and admiration you get from the ladies...

Where did you find steel toe clown shoes!?!?!? I looked, but could only find the steel toe dinosaur slippers. I hope you get more respect from the ladies with clown shoes. They just don't appreciate the fine nuances of the dino-slippers.
