| Anyone else get a YAMAHA VSTAR dvd in the mail today? I was pretty impressed. It's just a short vid showing their motorcycle line-up on the road and in different settings + some custom 'stars. BTW, I also got a 2007 calendar from them around nov/dec. All this without once ever putting myself in any kind of mail list or registering on any Yamaha sights. They probably just got my info from the dealer where I bought my C50. I like the fact that they seem to care about my passion for bikes. The calendar is AWESOME! Shoot, I own a Suzuki and haven't gotten crap from them. I guess I know where I'm more appreciated as a motorcycle consumer. I love my C50, but something resembling appreciation from Suzuki for my having bought their product would be nice. ![]() Cheers Yamaha!

| HMMM! Something very strange happened to me Saturday. Now this in no way reflects my feeling for the C50. I absolutely love me ride but, my girlfriend wants a scooter and I went with her to look. We stopped at the Suzuki dealer where I purchased my ride and the sales person somehow had her looking at a Vulcan 900 after only 10 minutes(they sell Kawis too). She had made it clear that she did not want anything more than a scooter. Then after she was absolutely unimpressed with the dealers lack of understanding her needs I asked him about the Meanstreak as i was interested in it and he acted as if I was bothering him. We then went to the Yamaha dealer here (which in the past would present you with attitude) to shop and although my girlfriend did not find anything she was interested in the salesman listened to her and directed us to somewhere she would find what she wanted but, not until he talked me into (he talke me into) taking the demo Stratoliner for a ride. (with Cobra pipes). The bike is nice but, that wasn't what stuck in my mind. The dealer offered me to take a ride(I did not ask). Signed a waiver and he provided me with a temp helmet a jacket and turned me loose. Maybe not a big deal to some of you but, a real big deal to me. |
