We had 50's on Saturday and the forecast was for more of the same. I was actually heading for the garage on Sunday to do a little prep work when I decided to look at the weather again. Long story short, it is now 10F with a wind chill 0-3F. Looks that way through the weekend. Yeah for me!

| Nice pics inspiron. Looks like some beautiful country. Most of us ride year-round in TX. And although it's a great thing, there are positives to storing your bike for the winter, I'm sure. I would guess you get the feeling of "rediscovering" your love for riding every spring. We probably take good riding weather for granted here. My Sunday ride was taken in 70F weather and and mostly clear blue skies. I'm not complaining, mind you. It's just that I know riders around here that won't ride in 50F weather because it's "too cold". I'm not one of them.

Plus I usually wait for one good rain shower after all the snow has melted to wash away all the road salt and debris from the roads before I bring the bike out. | |

| Formerly Rice Burner ![]() | Winter riders in Alaska will laugh at me but this is my first ride to the cold area this year where I ride once a week in summer time. The lake is about 3,200 feet above sea level. The temperature on the zero feet above sea was 7 C yesterday, so the spot temperature that I shot Mt. Fuji & the toy would be just below freezing point. ![]() |
