| I just wanted to let you guys in on some gloves I'm VERY happy with. The Olympia Cold Throttle gloves are AWESOME. I bought them at my local dealer for $34 about 2 months ago. I went to the dealer looking for the Olympia Trailblazer II gloves, but the T-blazers were too bulky for my taste. So I took the dealer's recommendation and got the Cold Throttles. The guy even knocked the price down for me. Up until now, I'd used the Cold Throttle gloves in 30F-35F temps and was pleased with their ability to keep my hands warm. But, until today, I had not had a chance to test their ability to withstand rain/water. Today I rode about 50 highway miles in a somewhat steady shower. Temps were around 45F and my hands were BOTH WARM AND DRY! The left-hand thumb has a little shield wiper on it that actually works. It was valuable for pushing the water off my shield rather than just smearing it. I bought the ALL BLACK version, but the black/flourescent-green is available too. The knuckle guard is pretty sturdy yet comfortable too. I didn't get my pair at newenough.com, but here's a link to at least provide more info and some pics. Link: Olympia Model 4370 Cold Throttle Motorcycle Gloves

| I have a couple pair of Olympia gloves, and have been happy with them. I used Windtechs for years in the winter. For the real cold weather I use my header gloves that plug into the heated jacket, but sometimes it will cool down at night and my electric gear is at home so I bought a pair of Cold Throttles not to long ago to keep in the saddlebags for 'just in case'. I haven;t used them yet, but I'm glad to hear that you like them.

| Thanks for the report. I really need a pair of warmer gloves. I end up relying on my Alpinestars SP-1s and good ol' engine heat.

| They look good. I got the 70gram version of Joe Rocket Revolution Motorcycle Gloves a couple of months back. Keep my hands pretty darn toasty warm!

| Neat! I've been using a pair of lined deerskin short gauntlets. They're good to about fourty degrees, if you can keep your sleeves tucked in. Just got a pair of Olympia Mustangs, with a longer cuff to keep my sleeves from scooping air. They seem OK, but a bit bulky. It was in the fifties today, so of course they were warm enough. I ordered a pair of lined deerskins with extra length gauntlet cuff, from Fox Creek. Hoping they will be the best compromise....

| I am definitely going to ccheck these gloves out. I've been buying Olympia glocves, and have liked 'em. The winter gloves I've got are warm, but not waterproof...., so I've gotta do something else. thanks.

| I am using Joe Rocket Revolution Glove (w/40gr Insulate) down to 40 and putting Parts Unlimited's Snow Paws on the bike below 40 with the Joe Rocket gloves. Before the gloves and snow paws my hands would be numb with needle like pain in the fingers, I am now comfortably warm on all my rides.

| I feel so CHEAP. Picked up a pair of fleece-lined gloves, water-proof, wind-proof, with grippy material in the palm and fingers. They work great and keep my hands toasty - $9.44 at T.J. Maxx. Sorry guys - I'm just CHEAP sometimes. I don't have one of those wiper thingys though. green with ENVY. |

A cheap person would put up with cold/wet hands to save themselves the $9.44 at T.J. Maxx.

| My in laws got me a pair of Tourmaster Polar Tex winter gloves for Christmas. My hands have been toasty at highway speed on days where it did not get above 32F this last week.

| After the ride in this morning I realized I need to get some better gloves. It was 29 and the only thing that got cold was my hands. Guess I'll go looking at lunch today. Nice to know what works.

| So... POE-BOY SAMICH. Are the gloves still holding there own in the cold? I need to buy some for cold weather riding. Yours look nice and are a decent price. Hopefully I will be able to start riding in March if the snow melts off of the roads and if they get cleaned up enough.

| ....and no, I am NOT talking about my husband... LOL. I have not found a good glove...so I bought something called 'hippo hands'... you can find it on a websearch. Installed easy and they really work ! I did 100 miles yesterday in 40 degrees or a bit less at hiway speed and I didnt notice any discomfort or sense of cold. This has been impossible for me in the past. I am sure I could do much colder weather now. They do look a bit weird... so they only go on the bike in sub 40 weather....but they definitely fixed my problem. I did notice what might be a small safety problem...?. a couple times that I 'missed' sliding my left hand back inside. I had to remove my hand while riding ( to close my visor some more ). If I had to react fast and missed getting back inside....well, that could be trouble. They are made so the entry is always a big open area ...so I think the risk is small. here are some pics. You can also see my new Cobra engine guards and Memphis shades windshield.... (also note my husband with his favorite micro adjustment tool in his hands )
