Default bike show

I went to see the bike show in Long Beach today. I wanted to see the new Ducati and of course the new Gixxer 1000.
The Gixxer was dissapointing, the looks are really weird, I didn't mind that much the two pipes, but the head light and the control panel were very ugly. The ergonomics were perfect, although the bike felt heavy while lifting it from the side stand. There wasn't a croud around it as one would suspect which is an indicator.
The Ducati on the other hand was packed with people waiting on a line to sit on it.
Have any of you visited the show and what's your reaction?

The International Motorcycle Show is in Chicago on Feb 9-11. Though, from Hamilton it's about as long a drive to get to Chicago as it is to get to Indy.
