I belong to another motorcycle forum besides this one, and this is a thread that another member posted there. I would like to get everyone's opinion on this, just so I know I'm not crazy (hopefully)... "Well, whilst I was filling my tank today in Lake Wylie, SC, a guy on a brand new, 30 day tag still on it-GSXR 1000 pulls up behind me. We talk while filling up and I find out that he has had numerous dirt bikes, but the Gixxer 1000 is his first street ride. I really want to be an optimist here, but my opinion is that he will wad that thing up within the first 1000 miles. He looked somewhere in the 23-26 year old range and due to the newness of his bike, he wasn't wearing any gear other than a helmet, but I was happy to hear that he planned on purchasing leathers, etc. What do y'all think?" __________________ |
