Default Colorado

Well all this talk about the ride days next year has me thinking againg about a trip I wanted to take this year, but couldnt. So in preparation I would like to ask any and all who have been too and or live around Colorado is there any roads that are must rides or things that are a must see. I plan to visit the royal gorge for sure as that is the main reason for going, but where else is good. I've been to denver a few times, but thats about it as far as colorado goes.

There's tons of good rides. You need to shoot some of us a message when you get into town and we can show you around.

Good rides include:
Deckers, Cripple Creek, Sand Dunes, Bishop's Castle, Four corners, and and and...

I think you will enjoy Colorado on a bike. The Royal Gorge area is a fun place to ride and a beautiful sight to see. After you do the Gorge, go west on HWY 50. It follows the Arkansas River with lots of twisties. I love riding that road.
You can go west to Salida, north up Hwy 285, then east on HWY 24 back to Colo. Springs. If you are in Colorado Springs, you have to ride through Garden of the Gods. A couple of other things in Colorado Springs to see are Cave of the winds, the zoo, and 7 falls. Also take a ride to Cripple Creek. No matter what direction you get there from, it is good riding.

You can take a map and looked for paved roads through the mountains with curves and it should be good riding. Where are you thinking about staying in Colorado?

Like Sage said, Shoot us over a message when the time gets closer and we can show you around. There is The Teach, Merlot, Time4me2ride, ColoRocky, and myself here. We try to meet up once in awhile and go for a ride. It's hard to get everybody together but I'm sure you would beable to get a few if not all for a ride.

so far i'm looking at going down to canon city then to colorado springs and possibly on up to fort collins. But that is just a base for now and will most likely change. probably won't be until june-july next year, but I'd like to try and get planned as much as possible. Not sure where i'll be staying yet I might just drag my tent and sleeping bag along especially since it will probably have to be atleast a wk to a wk and a half adventure.

That is the best time for White Water rafting on the Ark. If you are around Canon City, there are rafting companies out the wazoo.

Come on up Sunny. I'll have to check the clue-4 at the door though.
(For fear that you'll use it!)
