Yesterday, I was out in the drive oiling the chain (rained so much lately it feels like I'm always out there oiling!) when a biker goes by on the road. He's got some kind of enduro - maybe a KLR 650 thumper but I'm not too sure. I look out and wave and he looks in (my drive is 300 ft. long) but he doesn't wave. I shrug and go back to my oiling. I hear him zip by and then he turns around and revs the snot out of the enduro and I think, "W.T.F.?" as he comes back. He goes by the end of my drive once more and I can see him through the trees. This time he has the wheel up in the air and KEEPS IT UP!! I run out further so I can see him longer and he keeps that sucker up for 500 FEET!! Right away, I think, "I gotta get me one of those and try a few!" My heart was beating fast like I was in love and maybe I was! I never rode much on enduros or dirtbikes. Is it easy to pop a wheelie on those things? Or was that showoff really talented?? Told my wife about it and said I could practice wheelies on the pasture next to our place with a dirtbike. She said we had to 'up' the life insurance first. I have a smart wife. jim |
