Rent a convertible. . . . you'll still enjoy the roads and the scenery, Trust me!

Default Autumn colors!!

My friend sent me some beautiful pics today so I am sharing them with those who enjoy this thread. Autumn has turned the mountains into beautiful colors!!

Soon the leaves will be falling so this scenery is short lived. Too bad...

I am over the moon when I see beautiful photos - it rings a bell, too.
Driving on the Route 17 in Apple State in autumn was incredibly beautiful.

D Klein: Nice unique pictures to me. Thank you. Liked the sign above the door.

Uncle B: Nice pictures - love the taste of characteristic of the region. And have noticed these are very fresh ones dated today. Thank you.

D Klein and Uncle B, your pictures make me want to ride in the US!! We've got great mountains here in Japan but very little "wide open area". I've been to Texas once, but it was all Houston which was a great city but I guess the countryside is where you find the beauty.

Ummm...maybe I WILL ship my bike across the Pacific. Done it before with a car so can't be impossible with two wheels instead of four.

Sorry, missed this post. One of your interests is art/photography - you must have wonderful pics in the Sate of Washington. Could you please post some good ones?

I'm a pro photographer and when I go on trips like this last month to see the leaves turn red in NH I just carry a small cheap camera which my wife usely take picture from the back seat.

First 2 pictures are Bush 41's house and town
3rd is the bike
4th is the boss and me

The next 4 are of trees with red leaves that I could see in my back yard. But the ride was fun and cold. We stayed in NH and the next moring I went out side and broke the ice off the seat. this was Oct 3 2006

Great pictures, 4dtvman - thanks for sharing.

Mt. Fuji live camera showed clear view this morning.
Took a quick ride to Enoshima Island (an hour ride).
She did not disappointed me.

A few shots from the foothills of the Sierras in California.

This first shot is outside Angels Camp where they hold the famous Frog Jumps made famous by Mark Twain.

Goat anyone? ... some of the areas backroads.

Trails being the operative word. Wow...now those are some "way back" back roads.

Carlos (4dtvman), beautiful pictures!
I wonder if its my camera (I guess not if you are using your wife's camera) or the angle....or the adjustment of some technical stuff......or what?!
Photographers really get beautiful shots.
Why can't I?????

>Trails being the operative word. Wow...now those are some "way back" back roads.

Yes, I had the same thoughts. (LOL)
But great twisties!!!
(A little scarrey though. Looks like I could fall!)

Kay the camera is just a digtal point and shoot. My wife uses it when we are moving but I shoot when were not. Send me links to your pictures an I'll give you some advise.
But most of the time shooting scenes try to frame picture and show some foreground along with the back ground. One of my pictures of the water and the rock's I don't like because it has no contracts. Looks dull.

Carlos, I can't post a link as I have my pictures in a file (or can I link to a file???).
But after reading your post, I looked at your pictures again, thinking of what you wrote.
And I think I understand what you said.
Yes, it must the "contrast" and the foreground+background!! I thought your pics have "depth" which is propable a result of that contrast you're talking about.

Now I come to think about it, never thought of "framing" the scenery!

Next time I take scenery shots, I will try to be aware of "framing the pic" and also to have some "contrast"!!!

I know I can never use those big cameras with lots of settings that professional people use, but if I can get better pics with my small digital camera, I would still be a very happy girl.
