By the way, there are rental bikes here so all you need to do is get on a plane and join us! (I know it's easier said than done)
The only problem is that the airline I work for isn't flying to Japan, Australia, New Zeland cause has been a dream of mine to visit those countries!!

Maybe one day

Actually, that's what's left after the winter. The Alpine passes are closing now (some are already closed, others will be closed in November). When they re-open in late May, there can still be 2 to 3 meters of snow on the the sides of the road, depending how much snow has fallen later in the winter.

When we were up there, I was not wearing any special winter gear - it's cooler than down in the valleys, but not "freezing" - it was around 10°C up there, and about 20° to 25° in the flatlands.

I'd love to ride in Switzerland. I'd been there once and the whole country was simply beautiful! Seems like they have lots of twisties too!

Las Vegas is fun too! I not too much of a gambler, but been there twice; the first time, I went riding (horses) also saw "O", the second time I stopped over on the way to Salt Lake. It was such a fun place!

Ooops.

Sorry! I think I missed this one!

Yes. That was my very first ride on the Ducati and my very first ride on the tracks. I borrowed the bike from the dealer who had to bring out stools so that I could "climb" on the bike (I am VERY short). So I couldn't stop the bike unlil I found somebody who could hold it before it fell.

But I fell in love and a year later got one for myself and had it lowered. It's still quite big for me so I can only reach the ground with one foot with my butt off the seat!! My buddies say its like watching a circus act when I'm riding my 999.

OK!
That means I'm going to have to be more serious about taking nice pics! I have tons of stupid ones but..........

Today I have pics of my Kawasaki Zephyr 750RS together with a Honda VTR SP-2 taken at the Ubara Beach in Chiba, Japan. They are also my favorite pics!!

Nice beach Seeing the net on the back of the Zephyr... wish I'd had my camera with me last night to show a friend of mine learning why you should not use one of those to try to secure two cases of Bud Light to the pillion seat of a Harley Davidson FXDX.

One of IRTFM's functions: Blocking Non-English messages (Russian, Chinese, Korean, Etc Spam) - how about Japanese?

Today made a quick ride to the East Izu. Doesn't the pic look like a steak in Fl.?

btw - a new suspension bridge (only for pedestrians - 390m long, 173m high) opened today in Oita Pref. in Kyushu.

Oh - Kay, did you wash your bike right on the beautiful beach afterwards?

Wow!! That is surely a gorgeous bridge!!

As for cleaning the bike, I usually do a quick cleaning job right after I return any way, whether it was a beach or not that I visited. By the way, I didn't go into the sand. I know these pics look as if I did, but there's a road right adjacent to the beach area where I parked the bike. So no sand.

Today's pics are from the Fuji Speed Way, the race track where the F1 races will be held starting next year. You can acutally see mount Fuji, right behind.
It's been renewed to prepare for the F1 races so it's really a beautiful place with wonderrful facilities.

A friend of mine gave me the pic (the second one) that he took while ON the tracks. I wouldn't have the nerve to take out my camera there!

It seems quiet these days.
So I am posting another of my favorite pics. This was taken in Hakone during my recent rides when night was falling and the sky was beautiful!
Soon it became pitch dark. (pretty scary too)

Kay, your new Avatar looks good and beautiful sunset. Okay here's some sunrise pics from the lodge on my favorite riding route in winter time near Okawa, Izu Peninsula. 3rd pic: the sign of the hotel (15 minutes from the lodge) that went kaput some years ago, that says グランド テル (Grand Devastated), should be テル (Hotel) but the pieces (can be seen vaguely) came off or some one took them for fun ...

PCH Oceanside. . . .

Hiway early in the morning with a little low hanging fog. . . . .Yeehaaaaaaaa

Bob (C2W?) and RB, Beauuuuuuuuuuuutiful pics!! I hear so much about Sierra, but never been there myself. I'd love to be there one day, but I won't be able to bring my bike over and I don't think I can rent them either (I need to have them lowered!!). So I guess I'll just have to rent a car. Damn!

Thank you RB. It is quite embarrassing though. I'd probably feel more comfortable with a bycicle pic or even one with a tricycle! Hehehe.........
